Do I have to migrate everything at once? No. We start with one reporting cube, prove the value, and scale. A step-by-step approach minimises risk.

What happens to my current reports? We migrate key reports and dashboards to the new platform. Users continue working in Power BI and Excel — the data layer underneath changes.

Does Direct Lake mean real-time data? Near real-time — data available in minutes instead of after an overnight batch. For most organisations, that means going from a 24-hour delay to minutes.

Can I deploy AI after the migration? Yes. Microsoft Fabric includes built-in ML models, Copilot, and Spark notebooks. Forecasting becomes a natural extension of reporting, not a separate project.
